No ESC button on my FiST!!!
I started a thread about this on another forum. Do all Fiesta STs come with the ESC button? My car was purchased in NC and does not have an ESC button. Just a blank piece where the button would be. My car has been at the dealer for 2 days and they are trying to work on fixing it. It says advance track on the window sticker. It's at the corporate level as of now. Anyone else have this problem? I sure would like to turn traction control off someday...

The Fiesta ST comes Only in a six speed manual with a ESC BUTTON right next to the drivers heated seat button (if equipped) and to the left below the auto hvac control.. If your dealer says different... Get a new dealer .. Also maybe reach out to Meagan here on this forum.. Listed as user name Fordservice I think .

Ya I was having a hard time posting the pic from my iphone. Does the link work to view the pic? I am gonna give them a chance to fix it . They said they had some ST specific service guys driving around to try and find another fiesta st with the button. I told them to just search on cars.com and look at the pics of other cars instead of driving to see it. I looked up at least 30 other fiesta STs and there is one other one I found without the button. Also they have a Focus ST on their lot without the ESC button... Crazy.
Damn another car built on cinco de mayo...that is unacceptable!

That is crazy the button is missing! Perhaps the wiring is there, but the wrong button was installed. Do you have heated seats?
Re my Camaro, you know, they had the grey plaid trunk liner in them so when I went to check the jack and spare tire out the first day I got it, I lifted the liner and found the PB&J.Haha I don't want to hijack the thread already but how long did it take you to find that??

Good luck with that. One car could be a simple mistake. The ease with which you found more examples indicates a bigger problem. That frequency is unacceptable in TODAY's auto manufacturing given the limited number of options available for current vehicles compared with the 60's order sheets for example.Ya I was having a hard time posting the pic from my iphone. I guess the next step is for me to take apart the center console and hope for some wiring to be there. Then maybe the dealer will just order the button. It beats waiting on them to try and decide if it belongs on the car. They are saying they have no other STs to compare it to.
The trim piece around the HVAC/shifter bezel pops out really easily. I have had mine apart a dozen times, so it will be really easy to check to see if the wires are there. If you need to use my picture of the ST interior, go ahead and use it. I am not able to see your picture, it just comes up with a black image.

Yikes! that is scary! No ESC Off button would greatly reduce hooning, joy, and happiness.

Speaking of the button is it supposed to move at all? My car has the button but pressing on it doesn't move it, even temporarily. It does turn on the ESC light however so I assume it's working ok electrically.
Not to mention simple things like getting stuck in sand, snow, or mud. Wheels lose power if they spin.
