I'm a Ford employee but never thought I'd buy a new vehicle as I tend to stick with old school rides, but the new Fiesta ST has me sold. Just decided to place my order last Friday for my own 2015 Fiesta ST, Molten Orange on Molten Orange with every option possible save for the racing stripes and front license plate bracket. I drive cars for a living and there just isn't anything quite like driving a Fiesta ST. Thrilled to have one being made for me!

Cheers,
Ian

When I ordered it I was thinking "Well if I could have it by September that would be nice and it would give me plenty of time to sell my car" but now I am like "I want it NOW!". Haha

Ford tells me I should have it on the 8th of Septmber now, with the build date August 18th. It's going to be hard not to put all the miles on it immediately.

Well that is one chapter in my Fiesta ST experience over, and now a new one begins.

The car shipped the 25th of August and was scheduled to be delivered the 5th-11th of September. It arrived at 10pm on the 14th, a full week and half after the cars that shipped out on the same day had arrived at our dealership. It was on four different spare tires from four different cars, with mismatched lugnuts and some studs missing lugnuts entirely. The spare tire and tools were missing. The rear bumper didn't align with the fender arches. And finally there was a deep scratch down to bare metal on the rear passenger door. Thieves had hit the rail car while it was being transported. I looked the car over and rejected it, cancelling my purchase.

Immediately I went in and ordered the same car again. Our manager got in touch with the Ford Rep for our dealer and we will see if she can help us out getting my new order expedited. Not looking forward to waiting many months again, but I'm a stickler for perfection and there is just no way that I could accept a brand new car that was undriveable, missing parts, and needed a whole panel repainted before it even arrived.

The heartbreaking part is that even in its sad state that it arrived in, it was absolutely gorgeous in the morning sunlight.... That Molten Orange really is something else. Stunning looking car.

Now six months after I embarked on this new car buying experience the wait is over (for the most part). The new, new car I ordered arrived yesterday and I took delivery of it. It came in with the stock silver ST wheels however (still had the red calipers), and we filed a claim with Ford over my missing Rado Grey wheels. Ford must have some serious issues with wheels at their Mexico plant. Of the two cars I ordered NEITHER came with right wheels, one came with no wheels, and the other came with the wrong ones. The amazing team that Ford outsources their warranty claims to also denied the claim saying "If you wanted the dark grey wheels you should have ordered them". LOL. I DID ORDER THEM, TWICE.

Enough of the fire and brimstone though, the situation is being handled and everything will be sorted out in the next few days. The car is AMAZING. I absolutely love driving it, and the excitement of parking it in my garage for the first time was tremendous. In a few minutes I am dropping it off to be professionally detailed (it is filthy from the transport). Can't wait to see that paint all cleaned up in the sun!

Thanks guys! My detailer is thrilled to start working on it as he has never seen or worked with Molten Orange before, and I personally have never seen a perfectly detailed Molten Orange car in the flesh before either. It'll be getting a few special touches added at the same time, so by the time I see it again it will be like a whole new car all over again! I have all my cameras ready to go for the occasion. I'm going to have to be satisfied with taking photos of it until it gets a few more miles on it and I can really push it from the driver's seat.
