I don't know about you guys but I got a ton of them.. particularly on my hood..i counted probably 10 or so on my hood, and they're good size and down to the metal. I'm curious to know if Ford would repaint the hood or say too bad. Anybody else having issues with them?

It appears that certain colors are stronger than others. The Molten Orange is definitely one of the weaker ones. I have touched up at least a dozen chips, including one on the back edge of the hood. I am wondering if I'll have any paint left at all in a couple of years.

How many paint chips you get is largely a matter of luck, and depends on the type of traffic you're surrounded by. Obviously, 18-wheelers are death to paint jobs, and motor homes aren't much better, but regular car traffic can pick up and spit out small stones, too. My ST has 20,000 miles and I have more chips in the windshield than the paint.

My philosophy is, ultimately, that if you want to keep your paint perfect, then put the car into a garage and never drive it. The roadway is a nasty and dirty place and if you you travel it, your car will sustain damage. :(
All true, but I have more chips in my MO FiST after 10 months than I had in 3 years with my '11 Blue Flame SES with the same miles/year and the same travel area and traffic. I really think there is a durability issue with certain colors.
