You could have probably had the same results by pulling the fuse for my ford touch, whatever it's labeled as. The 11'-13' Fiestas had problems with the radio/sync system sometimes too where the only way to get it working right again was to pull the fuse or battery cable for awhile. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and not as common as the previous sync system problems were.
Radio doesn't work
While the dealer was walking me through the myford touch setup, we realized that the radio was dead and we weren't getting any sound at all from the system, not even beeps from the touch screen. We setup an appointment to come back to the service department the next day (they had already closed for the day).
Just because I am impatient, i tried a reset from the menu which didn't help. Then I pulled the battery cable for a few minutes and then started the car back up. Problem solved! Just an FYI in case it happens to someone else. Good luck everybody

There should be a fuse for pretty much everything. You'll have to look up what it's labeled as, but yeah, pulling the fuse will do the same thing and it's a bit easier.
