It didn't even occur to me that there might be a fuse for the mft system. I will keep that in mind if it ever happens again. I'm just glad I didn't have to go back to the dealer for this, that's a 40 minute drive each way for me.
Radio doesn't work
While the dealer was walking me through the myford touch setup, we realized that the radio was dead and we weren't getting any sound at all from the system, not even beeps from the touch screen. We setup an appointment to come back to the service department the next day (they had already closed for the day).
Just because I am impatient, i tried a reset from the menu which didn't help. Then I pulled the battery cable for a few minutes and then started the car back up. Problem solved! Just an FYI in case it happens to someone else. Good luck everybody
