The bottom grid line on the rear window defroster of my 2014 Ford Fiesta ST is broken and deformed. I just noticed this the other day so it must have occurred very recently. My rear window was tinted 6 years ago when I purchased the car.

What is the best option for fixing this? Can it be repaired or replaced and what type of cost should I expect for this type of repair?

Thanks.

I just spoke with a glass guy and he confirmed that the wavy line on the bottom is perfectly normal and also sent me a photo of another Ford Fiesta ST's rear window. The glass guy made the following statement:

'Yes, the heating element under where the wiper lies waves to get better heat distribution.'

Here is the photo that he sent to me which shows the wavy lines on the rear window of a Ford Fiesta ST and as you can readily see it looks just like the wavy lines on my rear window defroster. So bottom line, there is nothing wrong with the grid lines on my rear window defroster and I learned something new.
