I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread that helps track how we're doing.

When you complete an autocross, submit a post here with the particulars so we can have it in a concise thread. Not to be confused with the SCCA Autocross setup discussion thread, which I have found quite valuable for the discussions regarding tires, pressures, etc.

Include:

1) a link to the results posted elsewhere on the inter webs
2) your class and your setup (brief- we don't need to know your shift knob rocks)
3) how you drove... Did you leave the a/c running? ( that's my personal go-to excuse )
4) notes on your competition (nationals driver in a sorted celica, or a novice with three passengers)
5) color of your Fiesta ST ( or whatever else you wish to add )

If you think this is a silly idea, then don't. :poop:

I ran today at the Meadowlands, NJ (great surface)

1) https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/files/MotorSportsNE/autox2014-03-30_fin.htm
2) NASA auto-x group (E class), Dunlop Z2 (205/50-16), front pressure started at 38, rear was 37. Front tires need a lb or two more as the wear was about 1/3 down the wear indicator. Rear wear was not even touching the wear indicator.
3) 45 degrees, mostly dry with patches of damp/puddles and high wind conditions. my first time with FWD, came in 3rd of 7
4) not sure who my competition was, . my first time with this group.
5) car rotated just fine with traction off. not as well in Sport mode (if at all). Was told that the car was tri-poding all over the place.

Here's my entry from the Dixie National Tour.

1) http://www.scca.com/assets/results/Dixie Results4.pdf
2) GS - 225/45/16 Dunlop Z2's. Stock otherwise.
3) I drove well given my inexperience with nationals level courses. Was happy not to be DFL at 8/12
4) Stacked with good drivers, it was a national tour after all. 2013's national champ in a Celica GT and Ian Stewart in a Volvo S60R took 1 and 2. I was hanging with the Focus ST's, didn't get a good idea of all of their mods but assuming they had more prep.

1) Class results

it was Sunday, March 30 not Friday...

2) G Street with OE wheels and tires set to 42 PSI front, 39 PSI rear. Green air filter. COBB shift knob. Perrin shorty antenna.
3) Flat out. That's how I drive. Flat out.
4) This was a Detroit Council of Sports Car Clubs [DCSCC] autocross not a SCCA SOLO event.
5) Performance Blue

Here is a link to the final results online.

1) http://scorekeeper.wwscc.org/results/nwr2014/1/post (Note: only the first three runs count)
2) Open PAX class running a GS index. Dunlop ZII’s 225/45-16
3) Mostly dry track with a few wet spots, finished 2nd
4) 16 drivers in class including 6 other Nationals-level drivers
5) Performance Blue

First event in the dry, car worked pretty well but the wet weather pressures I started with were a little low. Raised everything 2 psi and it helped, would like to try another 2 psi the next time. I think the car could really use better shocks but the balance wasn’t as bad as I had feared. There was a Focus ST in the class too, he finished 11th about 1.6 seconds behind me.

Wash DC Region practice event 4/6/2014 @ fedex field

1) http://wdcr-scca.org/SoloAutocross/...4PracticeEventResults/tabid/1790/Default.aspx
2) g-street, bone stock, tires ~38 front 36 rear ( I didn't have air handy so I ran it like I drive it)
3) I over drove it. I got too aggressive in a few places and did a lot of push/scrub to get back to the course. On my last run I took some off, but maybe too much, since it wasn't any faster.
4) nationals drivers in a sorted celica, several FoSTs with and without BFG rivals. I was actually pretty happy with 5th for my first time out there in 10 years.
5) I was happy to see so many turn out for the class, including 2 other WHITE ST's ( even if they were the Focus kind )!

I am really looking forward to the rest of the season!

What did you end up running as far as tire pressures? I haven't autocrossed in forever and am running the same tire setup.

We've only had a test and tune so far, I tried a few different pressures. Started around 40 front and 35 rear. tried as low as 35 in the front, but that was a little too low based on feel and rollover. Think I'm going to try 38f/33r for event 1 in a couple of weeks.

Sorry, trying to post a little bit of the results. Finished 9th out of 109 cars. Paxed 1.375 secs out of first. The GS Genesis is dialed in and has the advantageous eccentric camber bolts running I think -2.5 degrees. He was one of my prodigies. it will be a competitive season...

BTW, I settled on 42# front, 32# rear during the T&T Saturday. The car rotates beautifully. Easy to get the tail out with just a slight turn-in and lift. Peeps said it three-legged beautifully.....

Central Carolina region Event #2, 4/5/14, 201 drivers put in times. Only mods are tires & cg lock. 1st in GS out of 7, 30th pax. Overdrove the car every run, course was hella hard; over a 75 second course, car was only settled for ~4 seconds.

We probably have one of the best lots in the Southeast, at Zmax dragway. I hope to have a decent camera setup before the next event, but there are plenty of zmax autocross vids on YouTube.

Placed 3rd of about 40 in PAX. 2nd (by a mile) to Trevor Jones in GS. Conditions were abominable. 45 degrees and moderate consistent rain. By the end of the day, the finish was done by rudder. Ran 215/45/17 rivals. Switched out the oz's for stock wheels in front after issues with clearance in the front last week. Ran ghetto with stock wheels in front and OZ's in back. By the way, the OZ's are very light compared to those stock wheels. Fastest times were in sport mode. Jones was 2nd at nats in RTR last year. He was driving a Focus ST, which is new to him this year.
