I've had my ST for 6 months now, and I just renewed my XM subscription for a total of $33.68 for 6-months. If anyone finds a better deal, please post as it could come in handy 6 months down the road!

Sorry for steering yet another thread off course. Back on topic, I let my subscription lapse back when I had my SES and they kept calling giving me better and better deals. They offered me 1/2 price for a year and I took it. Then I proceeded to not use it much and let it go for good after that.

I too have found if you wait a bit you get better offers. How much stuff is tied to Nav. I don't have it on this one but on past cars with Sirius when it expired all the gas prices and stuff stopped

I enjoy having Sirius, but not so much that I'll continue to pay for the privilege once the 6 months lapses. I'll go back to my iPod attached via USB connector and the occasional regular radio.

I don't think the sound quality is there in the FiST for some reason, so I usually stream music from my phone (which seems to have better sound quality - Google All Access). In my Explorer the sound quality is good for the Sirius-XM.

I like the travel link services, but probably not enough to renew. The factory Nav will still display traffic without travel link, correct?

The Nav will NOT display traffic without Travel Link. I was offered to add those service too, and I think that was an additional $6/month. My phone does such a better job displaying traffic compared to the MFT Nav. I was really on the fence about weather to renew for all the same reasons listed above, but for $33 it was worth it to me. I plan on canceling after 6 months unless I can get a similar deal.

I too have noticed the poor audio quality... don't know if it's the sat receiver or just better speakers, but it sounds terrible. I'm certainly not paying for it, especially now that we have HD radio stations around here.

I had XM way back when. What a hassle to cancel; you get the run around.
As much as I like immediately getting to my rock channels, I have an unlimited data plan on my phone so I'll just bluetooth it into the stereo. Sirius can suck it

I was just going to post a new thread asking who plans to keep Sirius, but the answers are already here :) I was really on the fence. I never took the plunge previously, but when this car came with it I thought it might be a good time to jump in. It's a nice filler when traveling and you can't find good radio, or Internet coverage is spotty with a phone. I do like the sports coverage. If I happen to be stuck in the car when there's an important (to me) event going on it's nice to at least be able to listen to it. Still, the quality is definitely poor. Pandora One through my phone (unlimited data, work phone) sounds much better, and I have my iTunes library all sync'd with Google Music so I can get the same library no matter what device I have with me.

I am staring at the subscription letter here on my desk and ... <sigh> I just don't think it's worth the cost. It was a cool idea that just doesn't compete with the other options available in 2014.

I'm happy with it but it's mostly because of a few channels. 80's on 8 brings back my glory days with their MTV VJs, MSNBC lets me listen to politics on my drive home and CBC Radio One has some decent shows. Is it worth it? Hard to say but as I'm looking at some long drives through the radio wasteland of flyover country later in the year I'll likely keep if for at least another year as long as I get offered a good renewal price.
