Specifically the 225/45/16 which by the way is a fantastic tire. I see the Toyos now but not to much else that would be legal for GS, and at Lincoln end of August/September those tires and that heat will not be a good match.

I know that the 225/50/16 Rival rubs but there are other ones in that size that would work, if they don't rub.

What else are you guys going with?

Won't the 225/50-16 ZII fit? Sure you'd loose some gearing but that could be a help on some courses.
Supposedly the Rival in that size rubs badly and the measurements of others in that size seem like they will as well.

I didn't discover how much I like driving the FiST on the Auto-X. Looks like 205s Rs3s will be in my future...at least for this year.

Rivals rub so...I am going to go with Hankooks if I go with anything. At this point I am running the stock junk and just learning the car. Waiting may give me more options for wheels too...so that is the plan right now.

Those stockers must be getting down on tread.... let me know when you will want my set of stockers :)

The RS3 in the 225/50 may work. Need good measurements to be sure.

The Rival tread width measures 8.5inches were the RS3 measures 8.0.

I think those will work.
The narrower width helps, but it will still probably rub the fender liners because of the height when the suspension compresses.

The Rivals have a 24.7" height. As they wear down, hopefully there will be a height where the rubbing stops. I will gladly report that height if I achieve it.

What about the 215/45/16 Rivals? 23.6" O.D. On a wheel within the offset limitations for street stock, it "should" stay out of the fenders.
I kind of need them to be undercarriage/bodywork friendly as I'll be driving on them daily all next summer.

That might work well as they are wider then the typical 215. I wasn't thinking about that at first.

I don't see a 215/45x16 Rival on Tire Rack. The 215/45x17 will rub the fender as has been stated here about 100 times...

They may be a new size. That size is on BFG's website now.

I'm not sure if it's just my set of Rivals, or driving style but my Rivals aged tremendously fast.

With 3,000 street miles, and 40ish autocross runs I'm down to 2/32" and 3/32" on the fronts
Must be something as I had 10K on a set with around the same number of runs on my BMW last season and they still had 5/32nds and are currently on a GTI.
