Later this morning? Friday? :)

Otherwise, I can do most weekends with a little planning.

What route do you like?
I don't get off work until after 10:00AM both days.
It is a little short notice to set up for most people.
I am sure most people have to work so we generally schedule these things for the weekends.

Here is a route that takes a good part of the day.
We then stop at Wood Ranch BBQ for lunch.

There is always SuperCarSunday.
This is every Sunday 7:00AM to 10:00AM.
In Woodland Hills at the May Co. parking lot on Topanga Canyon Blvd.
BTW, they allow 4 door cars.

This could be followed by a drive in the mountains.

Hi guys, while I don't live in CA, I was there a few years ago. I had a POS rental and still wanted to find some nice roads to drive while I was visiting, on my way out to Neptunes Net. I came across Latigo Canyon Road. Since I drove it myself I can honestly say I had a blast and I think you guys will too. Wish I could locate the video I made of that drive. I stuck my cell phone in between the headrest and the seatback-top, worked perfect lol. Enjoy guys!

This is a fine route, Dave. One thing we need to check is canyon closures. When I was there weekend before last, Kanan (or was it Las Virgenes?) was closed halfway up due to increased fire risk.

There are some specular roads in this route, I hope I can make it. Yerba Buena will be interesting, the FiST is just about the ultimate weapon for that road since it's so much power in such a narrow package.

I will be doing a scouting run this Sunday to check road conditions.
I will be at SuperCarSunday at 7:00 AM.
I will leave from there between 8:00-9:00 AM.
If anyone cares to join me you are more than welcome.

Anyone game for this tomorrow?

Dave
Hi Dave -- I'm down in SJC tonight, and may spend the night down south. If I get back in time, I'm game. It's just looking like you should count me out on this run.

On a somewhat related note, I did that run to highway 74 (Ortega) on Thursday. It was awesome! It's been years, but I don't remember it so smooth.

If you go, do it early or during the week. Like Dave said before, most of it is a no-passing zone.

Totally worth it if you live down this way. There are plenty of sheer drops and decreasing radius turns, so be careful on your first run. I ran it south-to-north then ran it back the way I came in.

I saw oil temps as high as 214 deg F, and elevated charge temps up to 90, but never lost power, had knocking or timing pulled. The FiST just rocked the whole time. The 225 DZ2s we're super sticky! Good time! :)

If you could make it that would be great.
I will probably only do the most challenging parts of this run tomorrow.
Yerba Buena, Decker, & Tuna Canyons.

Dave
Couple of us going now.
PM me for phone number.

Dave
I'll probably hold out for the full one, just got back from another canyon and getting up in time for this run would be a challenge...
Had a great time.
No crowds.
No cops.
No road closers.

Glad you had a great run! I've never taken that route before but it looks like fun. I've only ridden my motorcycles through Angeles Crest and Glendora Mountain Road. They are great roads but are filled with bikes and cops on the weekends so weekdays are always the best time to go, same applies with Ortega. Looking forward to taking the ST on one of those roads soon.
I can personally attest to how brilliant the ST is on GMR. It's a little too easy to reach scary speeds on it, though...

Sweet! I love how GMR is so technical. There are some corners where you're going no more than 35-40 mph. Shows that you can have fun without going ridiculously fast.

This is true on most canyon roads.
