Heads up on an upcoming road course weekend at a fun Northern California track. I registered with Trackmasters-racing.com. $320 for Saturday entry which is 5x20 minute runs. There will be a concurrent autox that weekend as well. I hope to see some of you there. I know of one guy bringing his FoST to the road course so should be fun.

Yeah a bit pricey... but I've done AutoX in the car and want to see what it can do on the road course. I may go back to the $75 autox depending on how much I like it on track.

The price makes driving to Willow Springs seem like a deal.

I suggest that everyone should do the ST Octane Academy to figure out what kind of racing they prefer.

I think autocross suits me and my car very well but I'll end up in some crazy class if I compete because I won't leave my car alone.

I have some parts to put on and plans but so far I've just got a tune, K&N filter, Mountune intake hose, spline drive lug nuts, upgraded oil filter and race wheels.

I want to go Cobb stage 2 as soon as possible and I am gathering parts for some weight savings and electrical trickery that may or may not be of interest to anyone else.

This weekend is looking too busy but maybe next weekend I can install some of the stuff I have got. I'll document it and post when I do.

If I was where I will be in a year, two, three, Carson City NV, I would absolutely be there.

I was there 3 ft away when Paul Nueman was racing in GTP and a couple of reporters came up and started asking questions. He just put his hand up and nicely said "you need to go talk to those guys over there, they are much faster than me" and smiled :)

Great video. How did the brakes do? I am going to try and test drive the Fiesta ST this weekend.

I miss my old Cooper S, I used to autox it but never tracked the car. I had a TTRS for a while that a tracked. I am looking for a good daily driver, and for some autox/track days.

I have done some research on these cars brakes but I figured since you just tracked where I plan to track you are the best source of info.

So how long were the sessions? How were the brakes? Did you boil the fluid or have to replace the pads after the event? Thanks in advance!

Breaks did fine. Sonoma has lots of turning but gaps between braking points that cool the breaks. Didn't experience fade in 25 minute runs or soft pedal feel associated with the fluid overheating. I use the Fiesta as a commuter car and is not bad except when sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.

I havent replaced the pads although I did go through a full tank of gas during the day.

If I were to get more serious about track days I can see putting coilovers, racing break pads, steel lines and upgraded fluid, and better tires (although I was pretty fast with the somewhat average stock tires).
