ST Bulb Sizes

9114 Views 15 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  TWDM
Hi guys...

I've been on more than one Fietsa site and many Google searches and tried Fordparts.com to see if I could locate bulb sizes for the car. OSRAM does not have them listed yet, unless the '13 and '14 Fiesta are the same setup. I gotta believe the ST might have a few differences and I don't wanna order the wrong bulbs.

Anyone with help on this information or can guide me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

I'm looking to make my first mods, the bulbs.

Thank You

The front and rear turn signals are 3157A's, I'm getting chrome ones off eBay and swapping them out.
Ok, great, thanks, that info helps...a family member has a '14 SE would it be reasonable to believe the headlight bulb sizes would be the same on the ST? Then I can just take a look and not have to bother with lengthy searches lol. I'm sure once more of the ST's hit the road we will be able to get much better info, till then, I gotta hope someone here can help out.
I would assume so.

The manual lists all the bulb sizes, a little Google-ing should give you the part # equivalents.
I'll check the manual, not exactly sure why I didn't think of that...ugh.

Google'd quite extensively, was confused when I wasn't able to locate that info when doing so.

For the fog lights I wanna change the bulbs to the deep yellow look, Ive seen the Hoen Brand bulbs on the net but have read not so good reviews on the light output, so I'm really unsure about going with that brand.

Considering HID install but with so many "cheaply" priced brands out there it makes me wonder about the quality. The Hella/ Phillips combo is my preference but looks like that is 20x's more expensive than the avg. kit on the net.

The turnsignals yes, mirrored, or LED. Same goes for the bulbs inside the side mirrors.

Headlights, looking at Philips Clear Vision Ultra (CVU) they look the whitest w/o the blue look.

License plate lights

I'll use the fogs as DRL's

Anyone out there have experience with any of the above mentioned?

Here is the guide with part #s from Sylvania. It is from a 2011-2013 model, but I'd imagine they haven't changed:
https://www.sylvania.com/en-us/appl...ulbs.aspx?year=2013&qual=28&model=799&make=30
I've done some further research.

Looks like the bulbs in the rear are in fact 3757A's. The turnsignals in the headlight assembly however are 3157A's, which is really strange. I will post more as I start taking things apart.

I appreciate the extra effort to check on those specifically for this kind of situation, Thanks!!

For what it's worth, I've used 3157A replacement bulbs front and rear successfully. However this could be the bulb I used (CREE LEDs) http://www.ebay.com/itm/221282581909?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Did you need the "Load Resistor" to prevent the "Bulb Out" light on the dash?
I will be changing the fogs to yellow.

Dave
Dave, I'm undecided on what brand to get. I want quality, fair price, and at least the same beam strength OEM fogs have.

Hoen has the look I want for $40 plus shipping but I've read a few bad reviews about replacing faulty bulbs, they have no phone number and blow you off when you email them.

The ebay brands worry me, even some of the nicer stuff worries me, they look like reproductions. For instance the OSRAM stuff, box says made in Germany, the ebay sellers state that they are made in China (ruh-roh, Scooby Doo voice)

PIAA's look fine, for $65

Nokya's not sure if they meet my specifications.

Any suggestions?

For my headlights, I think I'm gonna go with the Sylvania Silverstar zXe's, said to be about 4200k look, and thats what I want as far as the headlights go.

The fogs will be two part.
I will replace the clear bra protection and use yellow film.
Next the bulbs will be charged to 3000k but keep the 55w.
I am waiting for a callback from a company I have used before with great success.

I have not decided on the headlights yet but I would like to do 6000k

Dave
For the Fog Lights, I think I am going to use PIAA bulbs.
The other option would be to switch to HIDs (fog only).

Dave
Gonna get a morimoto mini h1 retrofit with 5000k's. Anyone have experience with this?
