Cool concept for an article - fun read!

Bugged by the author's inability to use "your" and "you're" correctly. You're a writer, for goodness' sake.
Product of the internet age, kind of like how people interchange sale and sell, break and brake. It goes on and on.

It's still no excuse for a journalist to make such a basic grammatical error.

Not an excuse at all, just a sad bit of commentary on the direction things are headed. My wife reads a lot and is always finding errors like that in modern books, apparently spell check has taken the place of proof readers. Lots of correctly spelled but misused words.

I actually ordered an SFE originally, but I canceled the order just in time, and ordered the ST. I really wanted a car I could take on the highway and decent speeds, as well as good good mileage. There are a few trade offs, but the ST offers much more power, better handling, and more fun. The gas mileage is not to shabby. The SFE works great for someone who needs a city car, but I need to enjoy the open road!

Although I typically read Jalopnik a few times a week, it's hardly a source of great automotive journalism. Articles are barely proofread and the writing is pretty poor. I do like how the gawker media sites have an almost forum-like discussion and comment area. Though, it typically turns into an automotive circle jerk around miatas, wagons and cars with manual transmissions (all of which the arm chair, interweb auto execs will never actually buy).

Hmmmm.. 1.0 ZTec S? all the handling goodies AND the fuel economy? Sounds like a win win, do we need this in the states?
I like the idea, but I think it wouldn't fly in the states. I'll bet that car handles even better than the ST, since it's lighter. People wanting mileage will go for the 1.0, or a Prius, but the performance freaks would be all about the ST. A sporty-handling economy car doesn't makes sense to Americans. We like big cars for our big asses. I hope hot hatches do catch on this time, since those are the cars I like most, but I'm admittedly a minority. One of my favorite cars I ever had was an '84 Colt turbo. It was zippy, flickable, and got good mileage.

Pumaspeed has a hybrid turbo setup for the 1.0 eb, it's putting out 200hp! So I do see the appeal of the 1.0 warm hatch, too bad the market doesn't exist here.
