Im at Cobb stage 2 with just over 500 miles. I feel i jumped the gun a little bit on the break in process rolling the dice that there isnt a factory defect. Would there be cause for concern going to stage 3 this early?

I put my car on the dyno at 600 miles on the dot. I wasn't sure if there was a "break-in tune" on the motor considering it was less than 1,000 miles, but it appears not - the car put down 183whp and 248ft-lbs and runs strong as ever to today. I wouldn't be worried at all.

Very good to hear the feedback.

My car is at 6,000 miles and I just ordered the stage 3.

Only concern is that I think my trans is taking a dump since it has some rather significant whine to it that has grown over the last 2,000 miles. Took it to the dealer twice and they said it was "normal" hard to believe though when other FiST forums post about their transmissions failing.

ISO - what kind of whine were you hearing? Was it intermittent under light load or consistent any time you were on the throttle lightly? Was it RPM specific or no?

Only reason I ask is because I am getting more of a 'rattling' type noise that sounds like it's coming from the engine bay but I wouldn't describe it as a whine. I've been considering doing some power mods and eventually want to be Stage 3 but I, like a lot of others, am a little nervous due to trans issues.
