Swapping Factory NAV to factory none nave HU, been done, or other way around?

Since we use our phones and now have a FireHDX we can use for NAV we really do not need the factory NAV so I am considering swapping with somebody that wants NAV, hopefully pretty much plug and play, anybody done a swap, either way around?

Thanks

Rick

Isn't the maps loaded on the SD card in the armrest?
I don't think that it's possible to "trade".
Since the GPS hardware is already installed in all FiSTs (nav or not), what makes the ones with the Navigation option different is that the software (maps, etc.) is factory installed. To my knowledge, not even the dealers can alter that.
The nav in my car sucks. It isn't Canada friendly. I get better on my smartphone or iPad mini if I need one
I forgot, I believe you are correct, maybe just swap the SC card.

I hope they were not stupid with this as well, blocking a review camera, does not play DVD, if the SD is locked to the car somehow that would be quite maddening to say the least.
Just took out the SD card and the screen read please insert NAV SD card
The ST is already equipped with the GPS hardware. There's gotta be something other than the SD card to enable Navigation or we'd find them on eBay for $25.
First time having a car with GPS. I'm old school and still uses the book. Would have to try it in a non nav st
