After picking up my new FiST today, I've had a chance to fiddle around with the gadgets and buttons. I found the SYNC system intuitive, however there are three greyed out or apparently unavailable menu options: Vehicle Settings, System Check and MyKey. For the life of me I can't figure out why these are unavailable or what the overlapping square icons mean (see pic).
I understand that AU FiST entertainment systems may differ from those sold in other regions, so I'm not sure if you US guys will be able to assist with this one.
Any help appreciated!

I'm not gonna be much help here; my approach to these things is that if I can't figure 'em out with a reasonable effort when I come across 'em, they're poorly designed and I abandon the effort. If it turns out I really must fight my way through the nonsense, I (gasp!) read the manual and hope for the best.

Maybe something to do with the key you are using? Perhaps if it's not one that has been set as a master key (or whatever they call it) you can't access those settings? Try the other key FOB you got and see if it does the same thing. For some reason I seem to remember trying to play with those settings at the dealer before I picked up my car and they weren't available but after I took delivery they were.

Thanks for the tip Kevin - I swapped to the spare key this morning and all options are available. I'm not sure how this works though, as the system reports 0 MyKeys programmed so I'll have to look into it more when I get home from work.

I should have thought to try this. My salesman shared a story about when the FiSTs were due for release over here, Ford took him out to Mt Cotton Training Centre for a strap around the course in the new cars. Being the supposed mischievous bugger he is, before finishing for the day he programmed the key they give the drivers as one of the MyKeys with a 60km/h limit - just to give the next driver a hard time. I wouldn't be surprised if he did change some settings on mine as a joke...
