I'm used to minor MFT issues in my last couple of Fords but today takes the cake.
Got Into the car today and SYNC was unresponsive. Nav worked but the radio never came on and all buttons were useless. My phone showed as paired but no audio. Shut off the car and opened the door 3 times, still dead. Stayed dead for the 1/2 hour ride home.
So heres the really crazy part. Two hours later the car's parked in the driveway, locked and been off for almost 2 hours, and my stereo just comes on full blast, no one around. I go out and try to start the car, still unresponsive, but now the screen is black. I can turn off the ignition and get out of the car and shut the door and the stereo still just stays on full blast. Rather embarrassing.
So finally I disconnected the battery, that did the trick. Which was surprising because at this point I was convinced that the car was possessed.
Don't know if the 6 degree F temp had anything to do with it.
