I too am looking at a spring ST purchase. I've been to the dragon twice now, and try to go every year. The dragon isn't my favorite road in the area, it's just the most famous. I'd love to take the ST there, but I usually ride the bike down. It'll be a tough choice for sure!
Id be there for 3 days driveing the area.

3 full days? That's good! When I've been there in the past, I've found it easy to put together 350-400 mile days.

If you can go during the week you'll find there will be less traffic.

Just got back from there was very fun it was a 10 hr drive to get there for me, took a lot of other random mountain roads in the area 100% worth it.
I could go during week just figured weekend be better for a group run.
Is there a time frame you're thinking of?
Sometime around may would be nice i think but not to picky on time frame. Once somethin would get worked out as a date then come january id scedule it as my vacation time from work.
At the moment I'm somewhat interested as well, all depends on the dates. I like the during the week thing, the roads would prob be wide open. I've been twice and it's a blast.

I'd like to drive this after the ST Octane Academy, which I hope I can attend.

Fyi, if any of you would be driving north from Florida like me (Miami) or South Georgia, there is a road the goes through The Chatahoochie Nat'l Forest. On the way back home from The Dragon we found this 30 mile road of constant twists and turns by accident, and drove it in the dead of night, boy was that fun! We were like where the hell are we....who cares...this is awesome! LOL

Just looked it up, GA State Road 60.....ridiculous awsomeness
I've ridden ga60 down from tellico plains to us129. It's actually my favorite road down there!

I prob won't be able to make the trip though. Lost the J-O-B today :/
Sry to hear about the job man. My gramps was telling me about the at road in ga.
Hello, I live 1.5 hours from the dragon segment of US129 so am a "local" so to speak. There are many other roads other than the dragon that will leave you smiling. Some of the not to be missed roads....Cherohala skyway, Moonshiner 28, US 276, US 215, Rattlesnake 209, route 107, route 208. I put about 260 miles on my now 2 day old ST riding the dragon and other fantastic roads in the area..the ST is a corner slaying roller skate!

As a ST owner, the Smoky Mountain area is one place you most certainly need to bring it to.....the car is in it's element.
