The base Fiesta has a plastic cargo storage bin in that area. Unfortunately the Fiesta ST has a full size spare that is just barely too large to use the same piece of plastic. Instead of designing a new piece to fit in that space, I was told, “We checked what we had on the shelf, and didn’t find anything.” So they left the space empty. That’s weak sauce Ford, weak sauce.

I'll have to buy one for a regular Fiesta and dremel it out to fit, if that's the case. Too bad.

Yes, same as the Focus ST. It's in the center console. If you have Nav it's used for the maps.
