Harbor freight tools are still pushing the limits of how low quality I'm willing to pay for. I tend to stick with Craftsman, but Northern Tool stores seem to bridge the gap between Harbor freight and Craftsman. I've seen decent tools for modest $.

I have a Craftsman torque wrench bought in 1978 when I started racing. Still works....

But an air tank is way bigger.
The problem now is space.
With four wheels/tires, tools, cooler. chairs, floor jack, picnic table w/umbrella, generator, computer, & plasma TV.
Time I got.

Don't know if you all checked them out but I use the Ryobi 18v Li system from Home Depot for my impact wrench. They now have a small compressor that works very good and a fan. They all run on the battery, saving lots of travel space. they even have a flashlight for $12.

In Ax this year I plan on taking these bec the the rear is not quite big enough for the cooler, camp chair, air tank, tires and tools. Instead of a water tank I will be hanging the fan over the grill between runs. Take out the spare and put these things in the well, comp tires in the hatch and voila!

Also for tools and spare clothes I use yellow BassPro vinyl boat bags. They compress and are water proof. Was especially handy in the downpour last May in Lincoln when there was 2" of standing water first morning...

I also put the floor jack on the right rear floor so it is covered up in case of an accident en route.

Another thing learned with the GTI: Attach a long strip of velcro along the inside plastic at the hatch and sew the other onto a towel. Flip the towel out when loading and unloading gear and protect your plastic hatch threshold.
