Hey guys and gals,

I wanted to see if anyone on here has bit the bullet and gone with an ATP turbo. I just wanted to see what all you have to say. Taxes coming in and I'm leaning toward the 25r or 28r. Let me know if any of you have cross the threshold. Thanks ahead of time.

Did not go with ATP as I did not get all gooey about the lo end lack of torque I have been seeing on the data i have looked at not a bad thing I just wanted more pull sooner in the revs. and I know it will never pull like my E30 tuned torque monster randy has given me but I wanted it further down the power band than I was seeing and my car sorta fell asleep after 4500 rpm on the track and it could spin both tires at will on the auto cross track in second.. Cool but not real fast.. Soooo instead of just biting the bullet I gobbled up the whole box of shells if you will and went BW EFR6258 with a PERON header and Kit as I had the turbo well before (was working on a different build but that went sideways). Will report back as I progress with this and am at the very early stages of getting all the parts and pieces I need but this showed up today

the Turbo I got from Chalon at PCA-1 he sells TD wheels mostly but has most everything else too.. That was for a different build project with a sorta local guy but that did not take root so I was left with sourcing a T25 flange header and Vband downpipe to make the EFR work.. Enter a shot in the dark to PERON asking if they sold parts as I figured if something broke you need a replacement. well I asked a few builder/sellers and got a reply from PERON in the UK we talked via email for a while and came to a deal. So I am not able to give out pricing as part of this deal but you can contact the Person I got in touch with and dealt with here.

All I can say is the workmanship from the welding to the maching to porting the header makes me smile just looking at it.. So keep that in mind this is NO Ebay china header and parts.

Turbo Alone is going for around $1500 more or less if you shop around but they are hard to find . For ease of install I would say the ATP is much easier and if you go that way you may want to take off the factory header and port that or have it ported as it is kinda restrictive from what I have heard and seen in pictures..
Like I said this is not just the bullet I bit here it is a once in a life build and I wanted what I wanted.. Your build will be just a fun and just as good for you too :) Look forward to following it when you do..

Depending on how it goes, I may have to be that uncool person who copies your setup. You have my props for being a pioneer for the platform.
