Hey All,

This is my first post (normally I sit quietly reading!). Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I'm from the UK and I've just fit the Kompact Shortie BOV to my MR230 - standard actuator still.

Initially the car builds boost fine. On a WOT pull, once I've built enough boost and let off the throttle I hear the BOV. Thing is, it sounds like it never closes and will keep going with the psssttt. If I leave this to go on my CEL pops and car goes into limp mode with error codes P006A and P0039.

If I build boost, come off throttle and quickly go back on it's all fine. I've tried everything and pretty safe to say I'm stuck now!

Any suggestions would be great :(

I have the Kompact Shortie as well. Did the install myself and have run it for about 3000 miles with no issues. I would double check your installation. Sounds like it may have to do with the circuit loop that is added on as part of the install. There were two versions of the circuit loop; one where you use wire taps and the other is plug-n-play. I have the latter version so it was very simple. Other than that, you may need to re-adjust your spring tension (top of the BOV) and make sure your vacuum line isn't kinked anywhere.

Thanks for the reply!

I have the latter too. It looked as though it had to go in the wrong way round (as in, upside down?).

The vac line isn't kinked at all

I would get in touch with Turbo Smart for tech support. Hopefully they can help out.
