A couple weeks ago, I got in the car for work and immediately went to select a different Sirius station. Just as my finger landed on the preset, I noticed the Sirius update message on the lower left. I've done this before, and it basically hoses the entire sound system- it locks up tight.

Not the first time this has happened, as I know the resolution is to pull the fuse and reinstall. Which fixed the problem this time as well.

However, since that reboot of Sync (hey its Microsoft, of COURSE it needs a reboot!), I now get a message on the display for a few seconds that the key fob battery is low, and should be replaced. I highly doubt that, since I can still unlock the car from over a block away. I've not changed the battery, and don't plan on it until I get some sort of confidence that the battery is actually failing.

Just wondering if anyone has seen this issue as well.

I experienced a similar experience when Sirius attempted an automatic upgrade on my car. My whole system immediately locked up. Navigation, Bluetooth, and any function of my Sync system. They advised me to go to my Ford dealer and have my system rebooted and that this problem has surfaced in Ford vehicles. Once the battery was disconnected and reconnected my system returned but I had to reprogram several default settings. Sirrius sees nothing wrong with this and claims it is a FOMOCO problem That is why I am switching to Pandora after my subscription with Sirius expires. I do not like the the idea of a sat signal locking up my system while I am driving the vehicle.
