i'm in los angeles…I flipped through the owner's manual…which revealed exactly nothing….probably a random tool a mechanic forgot after the dealer prep…initially the white key thingy was discovered loose in the glovebox…that black plastic c clip on the left side of the glovebox just happened to make a nifty holder…i also have no idea what function that black plastic c clip is supposed to perform...

That black plastic clip would be for a tire gauge or perhaps a pen !

Mine activates the undesirable passenger ejector. Used to have it hooked up to the trunk monkey. Not as cool as the glow in the dark rape escape button in the trunk of the camaro's.

Out of all the Fiesta's I have been in, none have that thing present. The fuse puller is typically in one of the fuse boxes, stuck to the lid from what I remember. I have only looked at the fuse box once, so I don't totally remember.

FWIW, I've got one in my box, too. Figured it was something or other, but I didn't know what, and just left it there until it became needed. Mine was actually in a plastic bag.

This is a odometer override device. It is inserted in the ECU and allows ford to test drive the vehicle before it is delivered to the customer without the speedometer registering mileage. They do this to about 1 in 100 vehicles for pre-delivery quality assessment purposes. If you find this in your vehicle it simply that the driver forgot to remove after flogging your vehicle around a test track and the worst possible public roads and conditions the driver could find.
