Hey guys,

So I've been asked a couple times whether or not we have a regular SoCal Fiesta ST meet going.

There's not currently such a meet in place, so let's talk about what days of the week and times might be best for everyone.

If you have a suggestion for the location and time please feel free to pitch it.

I am confident I can talk my bosses into letting us use the lot at ModBargains in La Habra, which is about 50 yards from a Chronic Taco and a Chinese food place, a good amount of parking and reasonably central and it's a lot we'd have access to.

What suggestions do you guys have?

I'm in La Mirada and picked up my ST yesterday @ McCoy Mills. I'd love to meet my fellow FiST boys. In fact, Nick, I'm sure I'll be in your shop soon to check the place out. I went to high school @ Sonora, about a half mile away.

Weekday nights work best in my opinion. 8 or so. It would be cool to cruise down Whittier Blvd with a gang of STs. I used to do this back when I was a classic VW guy.

I work in Costa Mesa, so I am happy with south OC also.

Mondays sound like a nice day for a Fiesta fiesta, but I can never say no to a Chronic Taco Tuesday. Give us something to look forward to early in the week.

I'd be interested, ideal location for me would be somewhere closer to the San Fernando Valley though. I work in Santa Fe Springs so La Habra would work, I'd just have to find something to do after work for a couple of hours until the meet but I'm sure that won't be an issue.

I was thinking maybe a weeknight at like 6:30ish-7 to give people time to get off work, and meet on a monday or tuesday. it seems a lot of people do their events first thurs or fri so by doing monday or tue we won't have a conflict

I work Mon and Tues evening, so I'm out. I'm also out because it's a trek. I'm on the westside and not interested in trekking across town just to hang out in a parking lot eating tacos.

I like Mondays. I definitely would like to check out your intake sometime @BlueBomber.

I would also be down to do some sort of canyon cruise. I am not sure their are enough Fiesta ST's around here yet to really get a solid weekly meetup going, but a Sunday GMR meetup could bring together more STs from a larger area (ie. San diego, OC, LA)

A drive to OC after work any weekday for me is ridiculous, about 4 hours.
Although I am off every other Monday, the traffic is still nuts.

I'd be super into meeting up. I work in Torrance so getting anywhere East or South during the week could be brutal but I'd give it a shot.

I would like to accommodate everyone but weekends are tough for me cos that's when I shoot things and the GF considers my weekend time "her time"

any alternate location suggestions closer to a midpoint between LA, SFV and OC?

You need to train them early so you don't have problems later in life.
I have been married 43 years and my wife just says "Get the hell out of the house".

Mondays (every other) work OK for me, weekends would be better.
The other reason for a Saturday once a month, would be that it could be coupled with a drive or other event.

For Mondays I would just need to find a place to hang out before the meet.
Ken and Randy might get tired of that.

Curses! I have to go to the Dana Point PCA White Glove Concours for work on Sunday. I'm going to try and do the Ortega Highway and possibly ACH after though. I'll meet up with you guys eventually.

My first thought is to read these things more.

We talked about this this weekend. I think the general thought is since we have a range of people from all sides of the LA area, it's best to do weekends since weekday traffic is a pain in the ass. Instead of "First Fridays", how about "Second Saturdays" or something? I'd like to see if we can partner with a local shop as well.

I think that's a great idea.

I will pitch the idea to Mike and Ron - we're in the middle of construction now at ModBargains/ModAuto - but OMG it's gonna be bitchin!! 2 more lifts, an alignment lift, an in-ground AWD dynojet, a paint booth for bumpers/trim (not really for whole cars) and best of all for you guys
a siiiiiiiick waiting room - cutout window so you can watch your car get worked on, we already had a ps3 and big 30+" LCD flatscreen in the waiting room, but now we've got a proper full-chair like LEGIT race simulator driving setup from Playseat and some other cool stuff

By the way, June 27-29 I'll be housesitting in Glendora so this means once again it's time for a Donut Man Meetup & GMR/GRR Cruise

For those unaware, Donut Man in Glendora on Rt 66 has some friggin amazing donuts. Not overly greasy, not sickeningly sweet, open 24, always busy and always fresh. it's been on tv a bunch for a reason lol
