Anyone try the 225/50/16s RE-71Rs on Sparco 16x7 wheels?
I'm currently using the 205/50/16s and wondering if I should get the 225/50s for more grip and even better gearing.

The 205s are the same section width and tread width as 225 Dunlops, so I've seen no need to go bigger...

Ya.. don't think this will work.

Someone reported that 215/45/17 will rub on fender under full compression which has a diameter height of 24.7".
I'm afraid 225/50/16 will rub badly since it has a diameter height of 24.9".


Also, I'm also seeing slight rubbing marks on the front struts with 205... I'm guessing 225 RE-71Rs won't work.

Of course, if someone actually tried the size and like to tell me wrong, I'm glad to hear it.. lol
