Wiper blades broke already?

I live in Ohio and we've been dealing with a lot of snow this winter. I've had my ST for almost 3 months and my driver side wiper hasn't been working 100% since a few days ago. I'm guessing it's from all the snow and rock salt. It seems like it's not touching down to the windshield all the way, it doesn't wipe all the snow/rain off. Has anyone else had any experience with this before? There's not ice on the wiper blade. Should I replace the wiper blade or could it be something with the arm?

That seems odd. I wonder if the arm is bent? I am on winter #5 with a Fiesta (EU and US versions, all use the same wipers) and have not run into this issue.
I never had this issue with my 2011 Fiesta either. The wiper blades I had on it lasted almost my entire lease. I'm just surprised I'm already having an issue and I've only had this car for 3 months and it's brand new.
I had to switch to winter blades here in Toronto.. Makes a huge difference.. I'm wondering if the blades that came with the car are just summer blades...
I ran the blades on the EU Fiesta for a full year without any problems. I had to replace the fronts on my 2011 after the first winter since I got a rip in one of them after it froze to the glass. The new set has gone through 3 winters. The replacement set on my 2011 are Motorcraft ones. The ST blades went thru 3 weeks of snow before it was returned and did not have any issues. The car stayed outside and did not get a chance to come into the garage to thaw out like my 2011 does.
Hey...they're only what, 6-10 bucks? Buy a new one...

No they are like $20 a piece. The ones on the Fiesta you can only get through Ford I'm pretty sure. I tried getting Rain X ones from Walmart last year on my 2011 Fiesta and they won't work because it has a specific locking mechanism on it.
Whenever it snows lift your blades off the windshield helps prolongs life of the blade.

I used to do that my my brother told me it stretches the springs in the arms. No?

Maybe, but it would take a looooong time.
I did this a few days ago and found that snow and ice got into the springs and the wipers would not rest properly on the glass anymore until the ice melted.

Sorry to bump this old thread but has anyone replaced their wipers? My drivers side wiper is horrible after this nasty winter. A few sites say 24" driver and 16" passenger fit out car.

I took mine off in Jan and installed winter blades.. They just weren't clearing the windshield.. Will put them back on when winter is over..

I replaced my driver side wiper because it was so bad I could barely see. I ordered it from http://www.rockauto.com/ because it is cheap on their site. They have a few different brands, but I got motorcraft because that's what the factory blades are.
