looking at some in 215/40/17 to replace my Falken Azenis RT615K's (which were incredible!)

But, Im changing jobs that will require a little longer commute and be subject to much higher pavement temps (Mountain roads with 80 degree days changing to valley roads w/ 100 degree days) . So im interested in a little longer wearing tire.

So looking at a compromise in wear vs. performance..... And I dont want to give up too much performance (the Falkens were on absolute rails at any speed)

TW is 300 vs the 200 of the Falkens.

There isnt as much choice in the 215/40 size anymore...and I prefer it for rim protection and the slightly wider width.

Any input or suggestions?

I've also been checking these out on tirerack. Look like a great buy, but would also be interested in some feedback from FiST owners.
